I must be slowly losing my mind. I’m doing the bookkeeping and financial stuff for Kestis and yesterday I did my first batch of bookkeeping with lots of data. It actually feels quite fun thing to do :-)
I searched for a good bookkeeping software available for both Windows and Linux for a while and found a really basic tool called BasicLedger. It’s written in Java and is quite simple to use. OF course, it doesn’t have all the finesse a commercial program might have, but it’ll suffice.
I actually did a Finnish translation too and mailed about it to the developer (who, BTW, hasn’t updated BasicLedger at SourceForge to the latest available version). Apparently such a minor language as Finnish doesn’t intrest him, since I haven’t gotten any answer from him. Too bad.
